James Forrest to Germany would be a shrewd move by Clarke

Taking James Forrest to Germany would be a shrewd move by Steve Clarke…

It’s been said that anything is possible in football, and that would be one hundred percent correct. James Forrest is living proof of that. Just a few months ago James seemed out of the picture at Celtic and it was even rumoured that he could be heading out in the January transfer window.

Fast forward a few months and he’s now seen as a major player in our title bid, with talk of a potential recall to the Scottish international squad for the upcoming Euro2024 in Germany.

That is quite remarkable indeed. Yes James is a talented player, but his days at the top level looked numbered until these last few weeks in which he looks like he’s had a new lease of life as he’s became a major asset in Celtic’s bid for a domestic double.

That has led to a few folk nominating him for Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad for the Euro2024 campaign  in Germany this summer. If that were to happen it might come as a surprise to some, but it will be totally justified.

James Forrest is experienced at international level and has won everything at club level while also having played at the highest level in European football. He would bring ability and experience to Steve Clarke’s side.

Without being disrespectful to some of the other players, James is a much better option. So Steve Clarke could do worse than pick James especially with two extra places now available, and a host of players unavailable through injury.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
